Jellyfish
We have been reading the story Jellies in class this week. Today we created our own jellyfish and wrote fact and opinion statements on the tentacles.
Monsters
We created monsters for Halloween. Each student designed their own monster and then they had to use descriptive writing to describe their monster in detail.

Pumpkin Book Report Project
The students have been working hard on their pumpkin book reports all month. Today we got to hear all of the wonderful reports and see all of the character pumpkins. The students did an excellent job and I was so impressed by all of their reports.

Super Storms!!
This week we read the book Super Storms. As we were reading, we discussed the main idea and identified the many details that we learned. The students really enjoyed making their own thunderstorm clouds which diplay the main idea and the many rain drops which display the details of the book!
Columbus Day
On Monday, we learned all about Columbus and his journey to America. Afterwards, the students pretended that they were Columbus, and wrote about what they would have done if they discovered America.
